If you like COUNTRY – PRIMITIVE decor, old mixed with the new that might look old, then The Berry Basket is a place that you need to check out. By looking at the brick building on the outside, you will be amazed when you walk inside. The first thing you will notice are the scents of the Swan Creek Candles. As you walk thru, the garlands, wreaths, country furniture and decor will definitely let you know you are NOT in one of the big box stores.
Located approximately 100 miles from Nashville, Knoxville, and Chattanooga, amid the mountains, lakes, and countryside is the perfect setting for this country primitive decor shop. Situated in the center of Sparta on the corner of South Wilson Street at Bockman Way (Hwy. 70) The Berry Basket can easily be seen directly across from Hardee’s.
The motto of The Berry Basket is “Make Your HOUSE feel like HOME”. We will go that extra mile to make sure that everything is perfect with your purchase. You will have 15 days to return an item, in original condition, for exchange or in-store credit. Free gift wrap is also available, with a $10 purchase.
A few of the items that are USA made, include Swan Creek Candles, 100% USA soy and come in a variety of scents that are out of this world. Soy is known for its clean burning, and long burn-time properties. Barn stars, are Amish-made from recycled barn tin, and framed and lighted prints – many by the folk artist, Billy Jacobs, who is known for his farm scenes, barns, and buildings.
Other country items available are wreaths, lawn flags, numerous signs made of tin and wood, and braided runners, coasters and placemats. Braided rugs may be special ordered up to 8X11 ft. sizes. Many nice pieces of gently used vintage furniture are also on hand – some are “shabby chic’d,” painted, or just great “old” finds left as found. The furniture selection can vary from week to week. One-of-a-kind finds are also available that are vintage, re-purposed, or antique. The inventory changes rapidly, so you never know what you may find.
Our goal is to keep this website up to date as humanly possible, but on occassion, an item may be out of stock that is being shown. We apologize if this occurs and it causes an inconvenience.
Gift Certificates are available for those hard to buy for folks. The Berry Basket will gladly accept your good check, Visa, Mastercard, or Discover, and of course, cash is always welcome.
